Spirit Rock

CIS Spirit Rock

The CIS senior class organizes the school Spirit Rock located at the entrance to the school as a fundraiser. Students and families have the opportunity to paint the rock to celebrate birthdays, show team spirit, congratulate someone, memory/honor of someone, etc.

​The cost to reserve and paint the rock is $20 for the whole rock (i.e. both sides). Only one person per day may reserve the spirit rock. Once reserved, you will have that rock for 24 hours beginning at 4pm the day before (For example, if you reserve a rock for August 25th, your reservation will begin at 4:00pm on August 24th and run through 4:00pm on August 25th).

Then send it with payment to         to complete the reservation to paint the rock. Payment can be made in cash or a check made out to CIS. There are no refunds.

Rules:

  • Paint/labor/supplies must be supplied by the person/family renting the rock

  • The rock must be painted after school hours with parent/guardian supervision

  • The person/family painting the rock assumes responsibility/liability for all people involved

  • Paint may only be used on the rock itself. Paint may not be used on the grass or surrounding property.

  • What is painted on the spirit rock must be in good taste and may not contain foul language, discriminatory remarks or political remarks. Profanity and obscenities are prohibited. What is painted must be in accordance to Carolina International School Code of Conduct.

  • CIS reserves the right to paint over anything deemed inappropriate.
