The CIS curriculum includes the study of English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, international and environmental studies, the visual and performing arts, computer technology, healthful living/physical education, and Spanish. Reading, Writing, and Math Labs devote special attention to these fundamental skills.

Carolina International School is a K - 12 public charter school. We will begin accepting applications for the 2026/2027 school year on November 1st. We encourage prospective families to browse this website to learn more about our school and consider scheduling a tour to visit in person.

Athletics
Athletics

CIS offers interscholastic athletics for middle and high school students. Our High School athletic teams compete as independent members of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and are subject to all rules and regulations set forth by the association. Our Middle School teams participate as a member of the Carolina Beltway Conference along with other charter and private schools.
Parents
Parents

At Carolina International School we offer parent and family involvement in a variety of ways including parent committees of the PTSO, which is the parent organization that supports the school, and participation on our Board of Directors or one of its sub-committees. Parents are also encouraged to volunteer at the school through school events, field trips, and support of our athletics and arts programs.
