History of C.I.S.

The Distinguished History of C.I.S.

Carolina International School opened its doors in 2004 in Harrisburg, North Carolina under the vision of international community leader Nimish Bhatt, the steadfast work of Dr. Richard Beall, and innovative efforts of the founding Board of Directors. CIS’s purpose-driven school leadership led a dedicated community of staff and faculty in educating and motivating Kindergarten through 7th grade into a vibrant, transformative future. We have experienced exponential growth - in 2014 CIS stepped into a new era as we moved to our current campus on 82 acres and expanded to serve K-12th grade.
Our goal remains constant: to equip our students to perform at high academic levels, to prepare our students to successfully operate in leadership roles, and to encourage humble service to our community and the world. We teach our students to not only embrace the rich diversity of the world around them but to welcome that richness into everyday life: at school, at home, and in the community.
